These terms apply to KS Getaway (getaway.knotstranded.com), run by KnotStranded LLC. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The site is a guide
We share ideas for weekend trips: where to go, when, what to book, what to pack and where to eat. We work to keep it accurate, but travel details change. Travel times, seasons, opening hours, weather forecasts, alerts, event listings and partner prices can be wrong or out of date. Check with the business, the booking site and official sources before you go.
Your safety
The safety badge shows weather, fire and smoke alerts from the U.S. National Weather Service and an air-quality forecast. It doesn't cover crime, road closures, park closures, water conditions or health risks, and it can't tell you a place is safe. The "family friendly" label is our opinion. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety: check local conditions, follow official warnings and closures, and know your limits for hiking, water and outdoor activities.
Bookings, purchases and other sites
Links take you to sites we don't run, such as stores, booking sites, ticket sellers and restaurants. Any booking or purchase is between you and that business, under its terms, prices and cancellation rules. We aren't responsible for their products, services or sites. Some links are affiliate links and earn us a commission; see how we make money. Packing-list cart buttons only add items to a cart; nothing is bought until you check out on the store's site.
Our content
The text, design and illustrations on this site belong to KnotStranded LLC unless marked otherwise. Photos and images from others are used under their licenses; see photo credits. You're welcome to read, share links to and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy the site's content in bulk, republish it, or run automated scraping that loads the site heavily.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email hello@knotstranded.com or knotstranded@gmail.com with: your contact details; the work you own; the page and the material on it; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by you, your agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own or may act for the owner of the copyright; and your physical or electronic signature. We'll review it and remove material that infringes.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, KnotStranded LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your travel, bookings, purchases, or reliance on information on the site. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; using the site after a change means you accept it.
